Keeping Faith Through Divorce

Updated: Jul 26, 2022

For many believers, divorce can be beyond devastating. Divorce and Christianity don't always mix; and the personal reconciliation between the two can be hazy, at best. There are ways to maintain your faith through divorce; you just have to remember that God has a plan for your life.

Realizing that all things work for our good (Romans 8:28) is paramount to keeping the faith through divorce.

How can you keep, or even strengthen your faith during divorce?

Stay in the word. Reading your Bible on a regular basis will encourage you in your daily life.

Continue attending church OR find a church to attend.

Attend small groups at church with other women who may be able to mentor you through the challenges of divorce.

Find a christian based counselor to help you navigate your emotions and life changes.

PRAY. Keep the prayers flowing. The Bible reassures us that we can "cast all of our cares upon Him, because He cares for us" (1 Peter 5:7)
